Earthworks & Excavation

Excavating & grading is more complicated than just moving dirt around. If you want it done right before you start, it’s important to consider the project’s overall objective, its soil content, drainage, building placement and any other challenges.

At Ice Excavation we have capacity to complete all aspects of earthmoving & excavation, from smaller residential jobs through to commercial size excavations with a technical aspect, this is made possible with our versatile range of earthmoving machinery and competent operators.

Commercial Foundation Construction

We specialise in commercial foundation construction for large Tilt slab buildings, Steel frame buildings etc from early site investigation through to completion. We have been selected in the past for our quality finishing work and ability to reach compaction thresholds in a timely manner, whilst still working to strict deadlines and site levels to ensure no wastage of expensive materials like concrete.

Siteworks – Drainage & Infiltration Construction

Site works is an integral part of many construction projects and its very important to understand the technical side of a site works job to ensure site levels are effective to allow drainage of car park areas or roadways. We believe with our commercial experience we have the skill set and correct people to firstly understand the project and secondly deliver a correctly constructed car park, walkway ,driveway, garden planter, kerbing area or any other site works.

Drainage and Infiltration Construction is common on most of the site works projects we have been part of, from laying drainage pipes and installation of manholes and chambers through to open swale construction using products such as CCC 2A swale sand etc.

Civil Construction & Retaining Walls

Another service we offer is removal of broken or damaged retaining walls and reconstruction of timber/concrete or gabion basket retaining walls. These projects often are in areas with poor access with challenging tasks like getting machinery in by crane and augering holes, or methodically filling gabion baskets by hand with carefully selected volcanic rock.

Rock Hammering & Concrete Breaking

We have a rock breaking facility which we often use for jobs on the hill for removing volcanic rock or for demolition of buildings, foundations, manholes or any concrete structures that may need removal.
